DIE URSPRÜNGE

The fruit of the Passiflora vine, a type of passion flower, the passion fruit is a type of berry with a tough outer rind and juicy, seed-filled center. Native to the Americas, they are believed to have been cultivated by the Aztecs, and the fruit was introduced to Europe in 1629 by Spanish missionaries. Passion fruit are round or oval shaped and can be either yellow, red, purple or green in colour. The pulp and seeds are highly nutritious and often enjoyed raw but are frequently used to flavour other foods and drinks such as candies, ice cream, syrup, jellies and alcoholic beverages. Mathieu Teisseire Passion Fruit purée captures the distinct sweet and zingy flavour. It's tangy and zesty notes balance out the intensely fruity taste with a smooth and thick texture. Try it in panna cotta, ice creams, gateaus and more
