FLAVOUR ORIGINS

Vanilla is a member of the orchid family and native to South and Central America and the Caribbean. The Totonacs first cultivated Vanilla on Mexico’s east coast and it was introduced to Europe by the Spanish.

The spice’s intoxicating flavour and fragrance meant it quickly found its way into cakes, ice cream, perfumes and medicines. To this day, it remains one of the most popular spices in the world is frequently used for both culinary and non-culinary purposes.

Mathieu Teisseire Vanilla Syrup superbly captures vanilla's delicate essence. Its sweet but sophisticated notes bring delicious roundness and flavour to your coffees, cocktails and teas.
