FLAVOUR ORIGINS
The orange is the fruit of various species of citrus plants that originated in Southern China and parts of South and Southeast Asia. The earliest record of oranges was in Chinese literature dating from 314BC, while today they are the most cultivated fruit tree in the world and account for approximately 70% of citrus production worldwide.
Oranges are widely appreciated for their sweet, tart, juicy flesh and fragrant peel; the refreshing flavour means they are popularly enjoyed fresh or as juice. The zest is also commonly used in cooking and baking, pairing perfectly with duck and chocolate or to make sauces and marmalades.
Mathieu Teisseire Orange Syrup perfectly captures the sweet, refreshing and balanced taste of this perennial favourite. This syrup works perfectly in cocktails, mocktails, sodas, lemonades, milkshakes, smoothies and more.
