The timing couldn’t have been more perfect. Just as we celebrate our 300th anniversary, we can lay claim to another spectacular achievement. In 2020, all of our 17 entered flavours were awarded a coveted Monde Selection label, with a further three new flavours joining them in 2021.
Founded in Brussels in 1961, Monde Selection is a prestigious global mark of outstanding quality. Testing over 3,000 products every year, a jury of at least eight judges drawn from a pool of over 80 food and drinks experts from around the world evaluate the entries according to what matters most to consumers - taste, visual appeal, aroma and clarity of on-pack information. They also make a rigorous assessment against international guidelines such as ISO standards. Only the best in each category, receive an award.
2020 was the first time we’d taken part in this event. Our four best-selling flavours: Pomegranate, Hazelnut, Strawberry and Passion Fruit, all received the Grand Gold top award, only given to products scoring 90-100%; while our 13 other flavours were awarded Gold. The following year, our three new flavour innovations, Black Tea, Green Tea and Chocolate Praline, received gold awards.
