FLAVOUR ORIGINS
A classic beverage that pairs perfectly with a warm summer’s day, Iced Tea dates back to the 1800’s, where it was first viewed as a curious novelty. Its popularity swiftly increased after American Merchant Richard Blechynden introduced it at the 1904 World’s Fair in St. Louis.
Iced Tea is traditionally served in a tall glass with a lemon slice garnish, and its ubiquity in the United States led to the advent of the iced tea spoon: a teaspoon with a long handle specifically designed to stir the sugars in the bottom of the glass. Iced Tea is also a popular bottled beverage, with Lemon being the most common of a wide range of flavours used to sweeten the drink.
Mathieu Teisseire Lemon Iced Tea Syrup deliciously recreates the iconic flavours of this much-loved, thirst quenching drink. With notes of fresh, zingy lemon and malty tea, it will elevate sodas, lemonades, teas, beers, cocktails and mocktails. .
