FLAVOUR ORIGINS
A relatively modern creation, Irish cream was first made by Mac MacPherson in the 1970s when he was given the task of creating a new drink that captured the Irish character. His idea was to mix Irish whiskey with cream, sugar and chocolate; the combined ingredients created a unique flavour and drinking experience that has since grown in popularity around the world.
Irish cream is classified as a cream liqueur, and modern recipes typically contain Irish whiskey, cream and other flavourings. It’s often served on its own but is also popular in cocktails and mixed drinks.
Mathieu Teisseire Irish Cream Syrup provides the instantly recognisable flavour of this treasured gem, without the alcohol. Offering a warm, rich whiskey taste with creamy, nutty, chocolate and vanilla notes. Add it to coffees, chocolates, milkshakes, frappes, cocktails and mocktails.
