FLAVOUR ORIGINS

Gingerbread refers to preserved ginger and has many names across the globe. It is claimed to have been brought to Europe in 992AD by the Armenian Monk, Gregory of Nicopolis. It was a favourite treat at festivals and fairs in medieval Europe and was often given to knights for good luck in a tournament. Gingerbread’s popularity also came when the gin craze appeared on London streets during the 18th Century when gin was the most common beverage and gingerbread was its spicy companion. Mathieu Teisseire Gingerbread brings the heartwarming aromas of ground ginger and the spice of cinnamon to cocktails, and non-alcoholic serves but also indulgent drinks like hot chocolate and milkshakes.
