Nearly 300 years ago, in the foothills of the French Alps, Mathieu Teisseire – a distiller and vinegar maker from Grenoble – was so inspired by the taste of ripe, juicy cherries that he created a liqueur that truly captured the rich flavour of the fruit. He bottled it and shared it with the world. And so, our story began.

We have a heritage of crafting exceptional syrups in France that stretches back 300 years. Mathieu Teisseire himself was so inspired by the taste of ripe, juicy cherries that he created a flavour that truly captured the essence of the fruit. 1927: Bold Flavour Innovation
We launched our first non-alcoholic syrup with exciting flavours that stay true to our family tradition of capturing the rich essence of the fruit. In collaboration with industry thought leaders, we continue to explore the future of flavour and maintain a bold innovation pipeline.
1959: Distinctive Packaging
True to our innovative spirit, we introduced the now famous metal bottle for Teisseire – a light and easy to carry vessel, which means more people can enjoy our delicious fruit syrups.
1971: Committed To Delivering Quality
Committed to delivering quality, we open our manufacturing plant in Crolles, France. To this day, we use the highest quality ingredients, individually designed recipes and a unique two sugar process, enabling us to keep Mathieu Teisseire’s ambition for serving ‘true flavour’ alive.
1988: A Dedicated Team
Dedicated to supporting professional drink creators, we introduce a specialist Sales and Marketing Team committed to providing industry knowledge and product expertise to the hotel and restaurant sector.
2010: Acquired By A Global Leader
Mathieu Teisseire is acquired by Britvic, the global leader in branded flavoured concentrates and the second largest supplier of ready to drink juices in the world. As a result, we become one of the world’s biggest squash and syrup manufacturers, with continued focus on bold innovation and quality.
